An Anniversary, A Birthday, A Holiday,...

Whew, finally, I can breath. We have been so busy, it's crazy. Our 5th year anniversary was the end of last month. We went to the hotel we spent our first night in after our wedding without our little lady/monster. (the 2 year old phase is a fun one.). And, that was glorious. I haven't had a moment, let alone a night to finish a thought in one sitting! We have only left Sahara for one night before that when we had Arrayah. But, she had a blast with my parents and sisters and brother while we sat and watched a full tv show without interruptions in our expensive hotel room!
On the first we celebrated Sahara's second birthday! I can't believe she is already two. I look at the tiny baby we brought home two years ago, and it seems like it went by so fast, like I haven't taken a breath between stages. We had a small get together on the second with family, and she loved opening presents. This was the first time she realized they were for her and there were fun things inside the wrapping paper and ribbons! Ja and I bought her a play kitchen that she loves and cooks for us all the time! My parents gave her a water baby, stroller and plastic high heels that she wears all day and they are pretty much the only shoes that she ever wants to wear. She got a finger paint set from my sister and her hubby. My other sister and her fiance got her a sit n' s.pin. My cousin and his wife got her a book and the cutest tutu dress that she loves. And, my sister and brother in law got her an adorable top and shorts. And, she received an El.mo movie from my grandparents. So, she made out like a bandit! (I am going to do bullet points now because my small native is getting restless!)

-We went to my cousin's house whose little girl is only 6 months older than Sahara and are best friends. We had a bbq and did fireworks which the girls loved and were soo cute standing there waving their tiny flags.

-I have been de-cluttering my house, and loving the end results!

-We took in a stray cat that was hanging around our house who was deathly thin and had a bad cut on her leg. She is now called Calypso, her leg has healed, she hides in our cabinet in the laundry, has learned to purr, and might, at this time be pregnant? Yes, my life has become a joke.

-I am pretty sure I have to have a giant argument with the social securi.ty office since we still have not received Ry's card and they said it was never processed. great.

-we are starting to wean Sahara from the beloved paci. She now gets it at bedtime and naptime. This should be fun.

-Potty training seems to go well and then takes two steps back. And, then goes to her wanting to use every other toilet but our own. Most times, I'm pretty sure she just like to check out every bathroom we are near.

-One of my best friends is going to have a baby any day now, and I am super excited! This is their first. You can check out her blog here.

-I am completely addicted to pinter.est! If you haven't checked it out, do! It has amazing ideas for crafts, homemade goodies, fashion, etc... You have to have an invitation, to get to it, so if you want one fast, give me your email address and I can send you one!

  1. Hi Cadie, I just added you on facebook, hoping that will help connect me to your pinterest. I just joined not too long ago, I was looking for baby shower ideas for D'Auna's shower, not that I used any of them... :) I need to start more boards, it's hard to find time, then if I get sucked in that's no good either, but it is a fun idea. I like looking at other people's. My niece is getting married and it is fun to watch her plan ideas for that. :)
