Pumpkin Patch 2013

Before I try to recap most of the things we did this summer in the next few blog entries, I am going to skip ahead to this last weekend and our search for the perfect pumpkins.

This is the first year that we have had sunny weather during our outing. It's usually pouring down rain, and freezing. We are usually bundled up in layers and instead of leisurely choosing a pumpkin, it's more like, hurry up and grab one so we can go. So, this year was absolutely heavenly. I did dress the kids warmly, and ended up regretting it since they were tiny sweatballs  after a while. We went with some our friends who have two little girls, one is only a year younger than Sahara and they get along great. The other is about a year younger than Isla.

We haven't carved them yet, which is surprising since from the moment we bought them and put them in the car, Sahara has been asking to carve her pumpkin, but every night has been something going, or just has gotten too late. But, this week we will probably get  them done and if I can keep up with blogging, which I have been doing terrible at lately, I will get photos up since I know you all are dying to see our carved pumpkins ;)
