A Few Favorites

Sahara has a few new tricks up her sleeve, and I admit that they have made me fall in love with her all over again...weird how that works, isn't it? Do you ever have the feeling like your heart has grown another size? I had that happen for the first time when I was dating Ja. Since then, it has happened several times, and Ja and I think of 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas', where his heart grows. (Exactly how it feels too, I think.)

One of the things that Sahara does that makes my heart melt is that she now uses her finger to point. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but it totally is! She use to just reach her hand out, and grunt, (which when she started doing that, I thought that was the cutest thing ever), but, now when she wants something, she uses her tiny pointer finger and points to whatever she wants. It's so stinking cute! Her chubby little hands are to die for! Oh man, I love this little lady!

Ok, another thing she does that I can't get enough of is her 'uh oh.' Well, she can't really say 'uh oh' yet, but she tries! She drops something, or falls down and she makes her lips into a tiny O shape and says, 'oh'! I love it! Occasionally, I drop something on purpose just so I can hear her say that. :)

And, the newest most exciting news is that Sahara now goes down to bed with no fuss anymore! Yea! This is a very exciting piece of news considering I have been either letting her cry it out, (which was torture), or hanging very uncomfortably over her crib for half an hour til she fell asleep...so this is GREAT! She is such a good girl. She has claimed one of her blankets for her blanket, so I lay it in her crib and she curls up on it and I cover her with another blanket and close the door, and she lies there quietly until she is asleep. And, even today, when she wasn't exactly tired for her nap, she played with this toy that we have hanging on her crib until she fell asleep. This has been happening for about 4 or 5 days now, so I'm pretty sure she's not faking me out, or that I'm jinxing myself for writing this...at least, I hope!

I love driving in the car and hearing her sing to the music. Mostly, I drive with the music low just so I can hear that tiny voice in the back! So adorable!

She is doing so much better with staying in the nursery at church during the service. It use to be that one of the ladies had to come down and get me during the sermon because she was crying extremely hard, but now, she plays and eats crackers like all the other kids. She's getting so big! And, she loves all the other kids. She loves to watch them and try to play whatever they are playing.

She is so much fun to be around. She loves to cuddle, give kisses, make you smell her 'stinky feet', laugh, play peek-a-boo, take baths and splash. She loves to cruise around the house and take everything she shouldn't have! Strange that she has a ton of toys, but she would much rather tear pages out of a book, or chew on a highlighter! hmmm...

Well, if you haven't gotten the message yet, I am in love with her! Although, she is getting way too big, way too fast, I love this age! I love it when she wakes up and wants to play. I love it when she tries to help me with the dishes, (she takes out all the silverware and hands it one by one to me; not really helping, but so dang cute, I could care less). We are having so much fun with this baby.
