I never realized just how fast time really goes until we had Sahara. Sure, each wedding anniversary came fast, but not this fast. It wasn't until I saw this tiny baby grow into such an explorer who cruises around the house, very quickly, I might add, that I really saw how fast time flies. I love each new stage, and yet, I don't want her to get any older. I was thinking about it last night in bed, and it actually made me loose my breath to think we only have 2 more months and she is will be a year old. How could it be so close? How could a year have gone so fast?
She is my little miracle baby. I can't even express how much I love this little girl. She has stolen my whole heart in a way I didn't know existed. She makes me so happy with each smile she gives, even when it's late at night when I'm draped over her crib, praying that she would just fall asleep. Her whole face lights up with every expression. I love watching her figure something out; like how to place a sock on my head so that it stays, (this is what we played this morning in bed). I love the way she asked for food, hmmmma. I love how, lately, she realized that she wears clothes. It makes me laugh when I see her study her sleeve intently and pull at her shirt. And, I love the way she finds a piece of lint on the floor, picks it up, and holds it up for me to take it. She's my personal little vacuum cleaner.
Sahara can now stand on her own for about a second, and then she realizes that she is not holding on to anything, and down she goes. She has 4 teeth, with 2 more coming in. She says mama, dada, nyny (night night), kitkat (kitty cat), hi, yeah. She loves to talk! Sahara also learned how to blow kisses this last month. I have no idea how she knew how, she probably had seen me do it maybe 4 times. But, she knew exactly how to do it, and when. We were leaving my parents house, and my dad, (her poppy), said good bye, and she blew him a kiss! Can anyone say 'adorable'!? Now, she goes around the house blowing kisses to everyone and everything. This includes the cats and her reflection. Nothing is off limits!
She is learning what the word, no means. Actually, I think she knows what it means, she just maybe doesn't want to let me know that she knows. When she gets close to something she shouldn't be and is told 'no,' she usually stops, sits, and folds her hands with a big smile. Little rascal! She has already learned how to get out of trouble! Which means we are in for some trouble!! :)
She loves music and dancing. Anytime one of her toys starts a song, she sits there and bobs her head and wiggles. It's the cutest thing! I have yet to get it on video. She gets distracted by the camera. She has also learned how to crawl over things. It looks pretty funny when she barrels over something to get to what she wants! If it's something small, like a pair of socks or a shirt on the floor, she picks it up and throws it behind her with a very large attitude! Cracks me up! Sahara has quite the personality, and sense of humor. This is something that, hard as it may be with her growing up so fast, will be fun to watch develop.
I love you with every beat of my heart, Sahara! Happy 10 Months! I don't have my camera right now, so pictures will be coming!
Happy 10 months miss Sahara. She is getting so big. Standing! Wow, it truly is amazing how quickly they grow.
