Finally Breathing

Ahhhhhhhhh. I can breathe now. We have been running and busy for so long now, I almost forgot how to breathe. Sahara's birthday was on the first of July, I started planning that end of June, then fourth of July, an entire week of vacation bible school, a wedding and a couple more birthdays, we are exhausted!! This last week was the first week we actually got to stay home for a few days in a row, but both girls got sick with bad colds, and were a bit miserable which makes for a miserable mama too. There is so much to catch up on. So many pictures to upload. I'm hoping to get some up today and tomorrow.
Both girls are feeling much better. Isla is almost three months old now and smiling, cooing and loving her big sister! Still a stinker lovely lady, crying whenever she is put down. This makes things a bit difficult getting things done around the house. Every once in a while I am able to set her down and she happily allows this for a short period of time. During this time, I usually put a tv show on for Sahara so I am able to accomplish something throughout the day, even if this means regaining sanity. I used to feel bad having her sit in front of the tv, but I read something a couple weeks ago from a mom of maybe 4 kids. She had written a list of things she has learned since becoming a parent, one of those things was tv doesn't really turn their brains to mush; thus I no longer feel bad about this. I hope this is the truth.
Isla just started laughing today, and it is basically the cutest thing ever! She loves Sahara and gets the biggest smile on her face anytime Sahara comes close and talks to her. Makes my heart melt.
I have a bizillion pictures to upload, but I have to do it on our other computer since it won't do it on this one. Sahara was the flower girl for a wedding this last week or so, and so so cute! I will try to get all the pictures uploaded tomorrow during nap. Fingers crossed. Nap time has kinda been a hit and miss sorta thing around here as of late. This makes for a very sad, very worn out mama.
I'll leave you with one super cute picture of my ladies from this morning.

  2. Wow Isla's eyes are beautiful! Glad you finally are able to get some down time...life with two is crazy enough when I just stay at home! Don't feel bad about letting Sahara watch tv...Bennett has watched more tv in the last two months than he ever has! It's the only way I can get anything done and/or feed Buckley! He only watches OPB shows which are at least educational and he's actually learned a lot! :) I figured it's better than me
Being stressed out all the time right?
