I haven't done a post on Sahara for a while now, and before I forget all these funny and sweet things she says and does, I'm going to post them! She has a great sense of humor. I am laughing throughout the entire day at her phrases, what she sort of grasps, and antics. Sahara is actually really easy-going. Super easy kid. I'm lucky, I know! She goes with the flow, if a nap doesn't get in, she still is pretty easy to be around. She listens and obeys and 90% of the time is really well behaved.

A couple months ago, her imagination started to develop and we are always pretending! We pretend we are puppies, doctors, and most recently, animal rescuers like Diego. She knows a ton of animals, not just zebras and giraffes, but spectacled bears, spider monkeys, and chinchillas.
Sahara is my little song bird. She sings all day long, and sings everything. She sings about wanting something out of the fridge and putting on shoes. She makes up a million songs a day, they all have the same tune, but I love them all none the less! She can actually stay on key and on beat, so maybe she will be able to sing when she's older.

She is a big helper around this house. At least for a two year old. She helps me put things away, loves to vacuum and tells me when there is a mess that needs to be picked up. I'm hoping this trait stays around!
She is still really small for her age. The kid still fits in 12 month clothes at 2 1/2, but just recently had a growth spurt so those clothes are going to have to be packed away pretty soon. She also just went into size 6 shoe, at least this is what the gal at the store measured her foot at. I bought her size 6 and when she wears them, she has to shuffle to keep them on, so I think she is still in 5's.
A few funny phrases she has said recently are, "There is poop in my nose." (This is said every time she smells something that is not pleasant.) She, getting in the Christmas season, has started saying in a very low voice, "HO HO HO, Merry Christmas!"
When she found something at the store that she wanted, she asked Ja for it. Ja said that it was expensive and he couldn't get it for her right now. She told him, "my daddy can get it for me. He is strong." This started melting Ja's heart and trying to keep his cool, explained once again that it was just too much money. Sahara then told him that she would give him all the pennies in her piggy bank. They ended up bringing the stupid race car toy home. She can be very persuasive. Just this evening, she found a tupperware of donuts on the counter. After seeing them, she exclaimed, "You're the best, Mom!" I think, after hearing that, if she had asked to have one for dinner, I would have let her!
As of Thursday, we are completely pacifier-less! I couldn't be happier. It's so nice not to have to search high and low to try to find one when we need it, or make sure we have one when we leave the house. Although the first couple nights were terrible since there was nothing to calm her down so she was up, in our bed, until 11:30 each night, but now, she seems to go down just fine for naps and bedtime. Today was the first day she hasn't asked for it, so I don't think we will have a problem when Isla comes home and has one. We are also just about potty-trained. She has been in panties all day, and hasn't had any accidents!! She still wears pull-ups when we are out and during nap and bedtime, but at home, we are doing great! It's crazy to think how fast she is growing up. She seems so much older without a paci and diapers, speaking in full sentences and wanting to have entire conversations. I miss having her be a tiny baby, but she is full of surprises and laughs, that I equally love this age.
Sahara, you are such a joy to your Daddy and me. You are such a sweet girl and we are so happy to have you a part of this family. We love you so incredibly much! xoxoxo
Just drinking her morning tea
