Much Belated Halloween Pictures

Before it is Thanksgiving and time to post pictures of dinner and Christmas, I thought I had better post a few pictures of Halloween! We went to the pumpkin patch and picked out a few great looking pumpkins. Sahara had two costumes this year. Not on purpose. My parents hosted a costume party, and Sahara went as a bumble bee. Super cute, but the costume was not made to the highest quality. It was literally falling apart after an hour. Since Halloween was the next day, I decided to take the bee costume back since I paid 15 bucks for it, and traded it for something a little more durable. Sahara came with me and chose a Macaw parrot costume. She loves the show, Diego and he saves a macaw in one of the episodes, so this costume was just perfect. She looked so cute in it! She had a blast going from house to house trick or treating. She got to carry her pumpkin bucket to carry her sweets in, but had to drag it towards the end since it was so heavy. I wasn't able to get a picture in her costume that night, so I'll have to stick her back in it to grab a photo.

While at the pumpkin patch, Sahara and her BFF, Lucy got their faces painted. This was the first time Sahara had her face painted, and she loved it! She kept talking about painting her face again after she got rather upset when we had to wash it off for bed. She loved picking out pumpkins. She would carry one for a while and then say it was too heavy and look for a smaller one. We let her draw a face on each of the pumpkins and then had Ja cut them out. They turned out so funny! I was actually really impressed with her drawings, though. I had no idea she knew where to put the eyes and mouth. One did come out looking like Mike on Monst.ers Inc. as you can see from the picture above!

I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week! November has flown by so quickly. My little sister's wedding is this Saturday. My brother and his fiance have both flown in from the East Coast for this week, and Sahara loves playing with her Uncle Jon! We have so many plans for this week with the holiday and wedding, but it is so fun to have everyone around. Sahara can't wait for snow to fall, and since we were cheated out of it last winter, I hope some comes this year! It's gotten so cold and lately has been rainy and windy. The holidays seem so much more fun this year with Sahara noticing everything and seeing it all through her eyes. She can't wait til we get a tree and her eyes lit up when she saw all the ornaments at the store yesterday. We have gotten her a new ornament each year and plan to keep up the tradition. She has already asked Santa for a purple Dora the Ex.plorer umbrella, and I think we are going to look for a doctors kit since that is her new thing that she loves to play.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I will have to post pictures after the wedding. Sahara is the flower girl and hopefully gets her job down right!! :)
