Livin' the American Dream

Well, the title sounds a lot more simple than it really is! After a few frustrating weeks of trying to figure everything out for this house we were trying to buy, we are finally home owners! Yea! Because of all the problems and complications we experienced, I doubted we would ever actually own this home, but yet, here we are!

Now comes the crazy whirlwind of trying to fix up what needs to be fixed up, packing, moving, unpacking, cleaning, etc...This is the part I am not looking forward to.

I have hated packing and moving every time we have done it, 5 times to be exact, this will be our 6th time. And, it's not even close to the last time, unfortunately. The last time we moved, I was in the early stages of pregnancy, and extremely sick. Which meant that basically everyone else packed and moved for me. Which is good and bad. Good part being that I didn't have to, the bad part being, I didn't know where anything was and didn't really get to decorate my house as soon as we moved in. So, this time will be nicer in that way...I already have paint and decorating ideas planned out! But, this will be the first time moving with a baby. Not something that I relish doing. Bring on the babysitters!

So, the plan is to get the keys tomorrow, start getting the cleaning supplies and paint this weekend, while continue packing, start the kitchen renovation on Wednesday, clean, paint, and fix up this upcoming week, move in the last week of July, and thoroughly scrub and clean this house we are in now. Yhew, I am exhausted thinking about everything, and a little overwhelmed, but I think once we start doing everything, things will fall into place and we will feel a little more accomplished each day. At least that is my hope!

I will take a lot of before pictures and then some after pictures so that you can see everything we are doing to cutesy up this new home of ours! Hope you all have a great weekend!
