Still Alive

Yep, we are still here. Things have so overwhelmingly busy, that the only think I wanted to do was sleep. Wait, that still isn't happening over here; life with a six month old...oh, and a 3 year old, both in bed next to me, pretty much every night. The great thing, though has been with Sahara not napping, (a bittersweet sort of thing), she has been going to bed at 8 every night. This means a few glorious hours for me to do whatever I want. The only problem, I am so not used to having free time, that I usually stay up way too late, enjoying the quiet time, and pay for it dearly in the morning. Isla is still not sleeping through the night. Which is probably my fault. No, it is my fault. At least according to the sheet the pediatrician gave me at her 4 month check up. I just can't seem to do the cio method, so it's a little tricky. Instead, since she doesn't use a paci, I nurse her to keep her quiet and to put her to sleep fast. So, she sleeps with me and nurses throughout the night. This means I don't always get a full six hours,but, I've gotten surprisingly really good at living without much sleep.

Isla's newest trick is sitting up all by herself. And, going from a crawl position to a sitting position. She woke up the other night around 10 and began her pitiful cry, she has gotten really good at that one, and when I went into her room, she was sitting up in her crib. She still loves to be held and still cries a ton when I'm not holding her. She is also starting to be extremely clingy and will start bawling if she sees me leave the room. She basically lives in the ergo carrier. We have her 6 month check up next week. Isla usually screams loudly the entire time. Every appointment so far has been like this, with the doctor and me yelling to each other the whole time. Can't wait to see if this appointment goes any better.

I have a million pictures to upload and several posts to write. I have a couple halloween posts that I want to do before the week is over. So, stay tuned!
