A New Blog

So, I decided to start this blog for a couple reasons. The first is that I love to write; it was always something that I enjoyed, and thought this would be a fun way to continue writing. And, the second reason is that my husband works full-time and goes to school full-time, and I wanted to be able to document our journey through this not-always-easy, but worth-it, time in our lives. That's why my blog is named, One Step Closer. We have a ways to go yet with his schooling, so I try to think of each school day as just a step toward our goal! He is going to school to be a professor, which will be great for him! I am so proud of him for working so hard, and can't wait for him to reach his goal! He is in his second year right now and doing marvelously! Go Ja!
We had a baby this last summer; our first. She is such a good girl, very easy going and happy, and that certainly helps since hubby isn't able to be home as much as he would like to be. I love being a stay-at-home mom. Before we had a baby, I taught preschool, and loved it. I was able to finish the year before the baby came, and then quit to be home with my baby. I think I want to go back to teaching when she gets older, but we'll see.
Right now, I'm happy where I'm at, and where my little family is headed.
